Overview
Glorieta Adventure Camps runs multiple concurrent programs with hundreds of staff and thousands of campers. Coordination happened on paper and in group texts.
Problem
Critical information — activity changes, medical notes, cabin assignments — traveled too slowly and often got lost. Staff were spending 30+ minutes per shift handoff just syncing up.
Approach
Designed and built a React Native app focused on speed for busy staff: one-tap check-ins, push notifications for schedule changes, and offline-first data sync for areas with poor connectivity.
Outcome
Handoff time dropped to under 5 minutes. Staff adoption hit 94% within the first season.
